Rockin’ the stock struts and springs again.
Well today I removed the KTS coilovers I had been rockin’ for 5000 miles. I took the car out for a short spin around the block, omg drives like a boat now. Body roll like hell; but for some reason brought a grin to my face.
Oh yea, I’m also rolling on truck tires in the rear. Its ridiculous slow in the corners now.
My bad luck streak continues.
Today at work while running a route that I don’t particularly care for a 130 lbs. pitbull attacked me. It bit my right wrist and a my left hand. I went home early after going to the doctor on my employer’s bill. I’m probably going to get paid time off tomorrow and Wednesday. Hopefully I can push it to not coming back until next Monday; that will be a nice break.
The moto…
Lately I haven’t been riding as much and as such have more money due to the lack of replacing oil/tires/chains/etc which is going to be needed for this economic storm approaching. If the dive in my 401k is any indication its going to be rough.
My knowledge on PHP and MySQL has grown beyond what I ever thought it would. I’ve also started another PHP logging application for work.
I have switched to a dry lube from DuPont that is truly non-stick lube. I’ve only managed to put 100 miles on it since the switch but I imagine its going to perform better than the PJ1 chain lubrication I was using.
The Michelin Pilot Road² I have on the bike seems to have a different profile (steeper curve) than the Michelin Pilot Power I had been running. I drug a peg in a corner tonight and still have chicken strips. I’m wondering if the rain performance of this tire is the reason, as the Road² is sold as a high performing water tire that tours well and is decent in the corners.
I recently picked up this tip for riding in cold weather is to wear polyester gloves under your riding gloves. I personally blew off the idea when I first heard it, but as a fellow blogger puts “its cold as tits” right now. The last few times I road in the cold my hand were quiet numb so I was desperate to try anything. At $.93 per pair I couldn’t really pass up the opportunity for decently warm hands.
Did I mention I drug a peg in a corner, a few times before calling it quits. OMFG crazy fun, so get your lean on.
File this under places to avoid on Satur-night.
That is all.
