I hit a car unintentionally early this morning.
I don’t really want to go to much into details but basically after hanging out at the local auto/moto hang out I was running with a stretched and slammed Hayabusa (I used to run with him before it was stretched and slammed); he was feeling like dragging it and I felt like some entertainment so we found some street races. Well we got ran off of 5 locations by the local PDs but it seems the second location in Arlington was not a good one at all, PD showed up before anything started and they were pissed. Everyone flees and I was within 12 feet of a squad car, so the adrenaline was flowing pretty good. On the way out I was lane splitting (NOT A GOOD IDEA with frantic cagers). I come up on a white Sentra just before some train tracks, he goes to the far right of the lane (I’m plan on passing on the left); I think “Awesome he is making room for me.” WRONG he was zigging and zagging because of the lack of ground clearance over the tracks. He jet over left as I am at his driver door and clips me with his side mirror at my arm. I bend the mirror completely backwards and kept hauling ass out of there.
No significant harm, no foul.
My Yoshimura S1 leather riding pants are finally in.
Only took 43 days to get to me after ordering online. Ridiculous, I guess that is what I get for ordering something that wasn’t listed as back-ordered but was.
They really don’t feel hot at speed (60+) but it becomes unbearable under 20 MPH with my jacket on as well.
It takes me 5 minutes to get out of these, which might pose a problem as I intend to ride with them to work and generally am cutting it close on time anyways.

Yup, I’m using WordPress again.
Amazing how I used Geeklog for such a short time and yet spent hours converting it over. The transition back only took 10 minutes. Seems like all the features I liked in Geeklog were release soon after I switched; bugger. I’ll make an attempt to splice the database backend to get the comments back from the first WordPress instalation.
My new favorite route.
This is a route that I like to hit up if I have 2 hours to kill.
Mostly out of the old place, into the new.
I’ve moved, mostly that is. Today I finally had the door repaired by some mexican (not being tacky, he is actually from Mexico and understand fix and broken in English everything else is a crap shoot) guy that actually worked on my new/current roommate’s house.
The apartment still has some imperfections that we (old roommates) need to fix before turning in the keys on Thursday. A few things are still dirty/trashed.
The new place is on whole much better. I now only have one roommate, who is much more mature than the previous roommates. And I now have access to a garage, cable internet, cable TV, and more storage space.
I’d like to continue typing but I am still high from inhaling chlorine all day from cleaning and I need to sleep before working all day tomorrow.
Oh yes, and my frame sliders fell off, fell off because of the wind. I kid you not, one of them is gone forever somewhere between Waffle House in FW and the industrial zone of Euless off 360. Looks like I’m going to have to get replacements.
